This service ensures proper removal, secure installation using the existing gas and electrical connections, gas leak testing, and full operational verification so your cooktop functions exactly as intended.

What’s Included

• Review of installation details with the customer before work begins
• Unboxing and inspection of the new gas cooktop for visible damage
• Disconnecting and removing the existing gas cooktop, including safely terminating gas and electrical connections
• Verifying the existing countertop cut‑out, cabinet space, and clearances are suitable for the replacement unit, with no modifications required
• Checking manufacturer clearance requirements to combustibles and surrounding surfaces
• Installing the new gas cooktop into the existing cut‑out according to manufacturer specifications
• Supplying and installing a standard flexible gas connector (up to 4 ft) where compatible and permitted
• Reconnecting to the existing gas supply and electrical connection (if applicable)
• Performing gas leak testing on all connections
• Installation of anti‑tip or retention hardware if supplied with the appliance and/or required by the manufacturer
• Ensuring the appliance is properly grounded
• Testing full operation, including all burner ignitions and controls
• Final cleanup of the immediate work area, including breaking down installation packaging and placing materials aside for customer disposal

• Disposal of old appliances or packaging
• Pick‑up or delivery of the appliance
• Supply or installation of new gas shut‑off valves
• Gas line modifications, extensions, or relocations
• Electrical upgrades or circuit changes
• Cabinetry modifications, countertop alterations, or structural changes
• Conversions between natural gas and propane
• Installation where existing gas or electrical supply is not code‑compliant

This service applies to replacement installation only using the existing opening, gas supply, and electrical connections. If the existing gas or electrical connection is not suitable or accessible, the service may not be completed. This service includes only the work explicitly described above. Any additional gas line work, downdraft systems, electrical upgrades, or countertop/structural modifications may require additional charges or a separate service. All work is performed in accordance with applicable safety standards. Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, provincial, and federal codes, by‑laws, regulations, and any associated permits or fees.
